Children are you ready? Are you really all grown up? Shopping and talking trash running around with an attitude doesn't equal all grown up or ready for the world. So what is it that you have done to prepare yourself to step into our shoes (so to speak)? Will you be able to take the helm and charter the course world you live in?
When your parents grow old and are not as capable or capable at all can they depend on you as you depended on them? Will they be all right if left in your care or will you even care? Will you surprise the critics and rise to the occasion? Do we need to fear those we have cared for nurtured and loved?
This generation and their off spring not all of them go for that brass ring, they are selfish beyond belief and dish out to others so much grief so many are not ready to give the old folk relief. It is our time to take a break to do what we put aside while we cleaned, raised children and baked. For many now who didn't get to save a nest egg because we were taking care of the children of our children we are now in the financial grave.
So children I ask you again "are you ready," to take over where we have left off? Will you sacrifice as we have done and give up things to make it in life? Or will you spend and spend going to bed broke at night. We older folks have put up the "fine fight," and we tried to teach you how but to the money God you all bow. Will I or any old person be safe? Will we live out our lives happy and well; guess what only time will tell.
Every one of us "runs out of time," to life there is no reason or rhym you take it oh yes- you do ONE DAY AT A TIME.
Will you young folks; will you really be fine?
